The atrocity that keeps on giving

Idiot senior BNP activist with less sense than he was born with is spotted attending Saga gig in Hungary and enthusiastically siegheiling along. And the Currant Bun's headline naturally reads,

BNP chief’s Hitler salute to Breivik heroine

Why dat den? Well, apparently Anders likes Saga too.

But this week's prize goes to Andy "call me Anjem" Choudary, interviewed about the outbreak of Sharia law stickers,

[The stickers] are partly a response to the mass-shooting in Norway by gunman Anders Behring Breivik, [Choudary] claimed.

Breivik espoused strong Islamophobic opinions in a rambling 1,500 page manifesto drawn up before he murdered 76 young people.

“After the Oslo attacks, the Muslims are going to be more in focus by the extreme right. So we need to step up security,” said Choudary.

Hold up, didn't these stickers first appear well before the 22 July? So were Choudary and MAC, or whatever it's called this week, complicit in planning the Norwegian atrocity, then? Is Choudary really a double agent working for white nationalist terrorists? Or ZOG? Or the Purple Lizards?

Come to think of it, have you ever seen David Icke and Andy Choudary in the same room at the same time?

I don't think I can keep up with this. Sod it, I'm off down Sainsbury's for an extra roll of Bacofoil to line my hat with.

Dear Anjem

I know you haven't many brain-cells (though for a RoP rabble-rouser you may have better than the norm) but can you please explain to me how "the stickers (which) strictly forbade drinking, smoking, parties, loud music and also gambling" are going to help your so-called 'security?'

You mean, the police and the law of this land can't do it?

Or is it that the right-wing hatemonger only gets pissed, dances and commits atrocities?

On reflection I think you are thrashing around for excuses. Evidence is that posters like this were up before the Norwegian nut-job pulled the trigger, unless you are telling me that a narrow, bigoted non-fun cult can see the future?

My, the RoP has so much to offer...

Anjem Chodary and Chris Hurst deserve each other.

Couldn't they be airlifted onto Rockall and left there?

Fine thanks, Laban. Thank you for asking. I was in beautiful downtown Woolwich yesterday until about 18:30 and it was a perfectly normal Monday evening. People were going about their business totally oblivious; in the Wetherspoon only a small proportion of the punters were watching Riot of the Day on Sky News in a detached voyeuristic way as if it were all happening on the other side of the world. I don't think people realize how much somewhere like London is not a single place but a region of separate small towns separated by housing rather than by fields.

It didn't kick off in Woolwich until later on. Fortunately we're a little distance out, in a residential area devoid of juicy mobile phone and electrical goods shops, and even the local offie isn't up to much. Apart from the distant sound of sirens — more Saturday night than Monday night in frequency — last night was pretty normal and so far this morning people are going about their business as usual in the immediate vicinity.

I may venture out for a spot of light post-riot rubbernecking later.

I wonder what this evening will bring.
