The centre cannot hold
Proof positive not only that the country has gone to the dogs, but also that the dogs have turned us down. I've just heard John Humphrys come within an ace of saying in terms, "Do bears shit in the woods?" on the steam wireless. Time to convert my savings into gold bullion and flee the country, I think.
