If this post is publicly visible at all, don't expect it to make any sense. It's just for format and character-encoding testing and suchlike.
Ideally this test post would be accessible only through an unpublished direct URL and not linked to from the homepage, but I can't find a way of doing that just now and I don't want to get involved with unnecessary complications involving additional websites.
So if you have followed the link from the Archives list for January 2000, by all means enjoy, but don't expect it to mean anything.
